Priority Pass credit cards in India

Priority Pass lets you enter airport lounges worldwide—even if you're flying economy. If your credit card includes Priority Pass, your bank usually pays the membership fee. At most international airports, you show your Priority Pass card and boarding pass — not your credit card — to enter participating lounges. Below: the concept in two minutes, then what our verified catalog shows.

How this fits your card

Card → outcome
  1. Eligible credit card The issuer sponsors participation
  2. Card entitlement The card controls free visits and guests
  3. Priority Pass The lounge programme and network
  4. PP credential Usually a separate physical or digital card
  5. Lounge entry Subject to the card allowance and lounge conditions

What is Priority Pass?

Definition

Priority Pass is a global airport lounge network operated by Collinson Group. It is not an airline lounge programme and does not require business-class travel. Your Indian credit card, if eligible, sponsors the membership; the network itself is independent of Visa/Mastercard lounge programmes.

What your credit card actually provides

Two layers
Layer What you get
Membership Issuer waives the usual Priority Pass membership fee so you can hold a PP membership.
Visit entitlement How many complimentary lounge entries you get per year (or other period) — often capped, sometimes unlimited.
Guest policy Whether guests are free or charged (most Indian cards charge guests).

Domestic India lounges are often on separate networks (DreamFolks, Mastercard, Visa, or issuer programmes) — not Priority Pass. Confirm the lounge before you travel.

Common misconceptions

One-line answers
Can I use my credit card instead of Priority Pass?
Usually no for international Priority Pass lounges. Your credit card only funds the membership. You normally need the Priority Pass membership card (physical or digital where supported) plus a boarding pass.
Does Priority Pass work in India?
Priority Pass is a global network; some Indian airport lounges participate. Many domestic Indian lounges instead use DreamFolks, Mastercard Airport Experiences, Visa Airport Companion, or issuer programmes — check the lounge and your card before you travel.
Does free Priority Pass membership mean unlimited lounge visits?
No. Membership and lounge entitlement are different. In our catalog, 6 of 14 Priority Pass cards publish unlimited international access — the rest are capped.
Can I bring guests on Priority Pass?
Usually guests are charged (often around USD 27–35 per person). In our tracked set, only 3 cards currently include complimentary guest visits — verify your card page and issuer T&Cs.
Do I need a boarding pass?
Yes at nearly all lounges. Priority Pass access is tied to a same-day (or lounge-rule) boarding pass for a departing flight.
Can I enter twice in one day?
Each entry usually counts as a visit against your card's annual (or other) entitlement. Double entry is not “free” just because it is the same day — your issuer limits apply.
